{"id":241,"count":6,"description":"Hypnosis Plus has observed the rise of mental health problems during the pandemic. That was affected by many reasons, and it is not limited to an age group. \r\n\r\nHowever, it seems that the public has limited access to certain services. There are many techniques and methods to assist people with their individual needs. Not to mention complementary therapies which are mostly clinically proven to help people. Nevertheless, with easy access to these services, the vast majority will stop suffering.\r\n\r\nSuffering alone being affected by mental health problems means for instance a lack of performance at work or a lack of communication in personal life. The individual\u2019s productivity may decrease and may be at risk to themself and others. A community is built with each individual, and if several individuals are affected, the result is a community in need of mental health assistance.\r\n\r\nThere are a few obstacles when it comes to mental health assistance. For instance a lack of funding, and no access to any kind of help.\r\n\r\nThere is also a social stigma attached to mental health problems. We need to learn to see mental health as the same as a physical health condition. Therefore, embarrassment, sense of shame, fear of being judged, and rejection result in reluctance in speaking about mental health conditions. In many societies going to a GP is a positive decision but going to a Therapist has a negative connotation. \r\n\r\nThe less we speak, the less the practitioners, and the researchers know what really affects us, what is difficult when we are suffering, and what seems helpful.  Consequently, it creates a perception of a world where the general public does not suffer from mental health problems. Therefore, there are no role models created for the people in various communities to feel comfortable about their conditions, identify what they are going through, and encourage others to feel at ease about having mental health conditions. \r\n\r\nWe should live in a guilt-free world where we can relax and feel proud of engaging in self-care. We believe people should come forward and speak about their experiences to encourage others to talk about mental health. We believe practitioners and researchers can benefit from it in order to find different ways of helping. We believe everyone in society should have access to mental health assistance and our children should be educated to seek help when feeling sad and stressed. We should educate our future generation to identify common mental health problems and let them understand that visiting a therapist is a positive decision. Let's eradicate the culture of blaming oneself when admitting to having a mental health condition. \r\n\r\nTherefore, Hypnosis Plus is starting a Mental Health Awareness series. In this series, we will publish short Q & A from the therapists. We will publish stories from the public members. We aim for this series to be global. Therefore, all entries will be made from different parts of the world. Every personal story has something to teach us. \r\nWe also aim to publish people\u2019s stories on our iHypnosis TV.\r\nOur next aim is to bring insights from the practitioners. \r\nOur objective is to bring awareness of mental health issues, educate against the stigma through the stories of the members of the public, and through the series, and bring practitioners\u2019 and the users' experiences in one place.\r\n\r\nIf you are a member of the public and you feel that you would like to share your story, please contact us. We want to hear your story.\r\nWe would be also happy to hear observations from practitioners, talk to you about research, and activities, and if you would like to be involved further.\r\n\r\nIf you are an organisation serving mental health clients, and you would like to collaborate with us to bring awareness, increase visibility, and create events, or projects, please do not hesitate to contact us.\r\n\r\nWe hope you will enjoy this series.","link":"https:\/\/hypnosis.plus\/index.php\/category\/mental-health-series\/","name":"Mental Health Series","slug":"mental-health-series","taxonomy":"category","parent":0,"meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/hypnosis.plus\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories\/241","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/hypnosis.plus\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/hypnosis.plus\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/category"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/hypnosis.plus\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts?categories=241"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
