Feb 27, 2020Hypnosis is a mental state in which the client experiences increased attention and concentration and is in a suggestible state. While hypnosis seems like a sleep-like state, it is better explained as a state of focused attention with vivid fantasies and a heightened state of suggestibility. We generally see the person under hypnosis in a sleep mode, but the client is actually in a state of hyper-awareness.
The unconscious is a state that happens automatically, and the thoughts and decisions of the unconscious are not available for introspection. A cenote of thoughts, feelings, memories, and desires that live outside of our conscious mind is known as the unconscious mind. We are unaware of these feelings, desires, and memories in the functional state of the mind that we use to cope with our daily chores, relationships, and society.
Hypnosis is a trans-like state in which one has heightened focus and concentration. We continuously deal with the duality of our mind without paying much attention to it. The subconscious doesn’t care for logic and social conformity; therefore, the subconscious may lead us to take risks. On the other hand, we may need to connect with our subconscious to know who we really are and what we want.
“No, no, I don’t have mental health issues. I understand what you are going through, I feel for you, you are so disturbed… it’s just that I’m busy with life. These are real problems, so I’m worried about them at night and I imagine the future, you see, my car and the house and I know, what I need. It isn’t about mental health”.
